Hyper Meditation

A dual-screen video installation exploring the tension between presence and absence through temporal manipulation. The first video shows the artist sitting still in meditation while fast-forwarded so the shadows are vibrating fast on clean white wall. The second video depicts rope jumping in slow, glitchy reconstituted motion, while the artist’s shadow remains nealy stationary.

Created during the ongoing Zionist genocide on Palestinians (2023-2026), the work reflects the experience of living under narrative manipulation and censorship, where anti-genocide voices are systematically silenced while official narratives rush to fill the void. The installation uses time to explore the state of being caught between the chaotic rush of imposed narratives and the deliberate, coded expressions that endure despite suppression.
